rest//less. | I design... And stuff.

Update on what my portfolio website looks like right now.

I still have yet to take the photos for the website's backgrounds and pages. For now, it's running on stock images (blasphemy!) and repeated textures. Gotta find time to get my things together.

Bouncing around a couple of ideas for my new name card.

UV front with matte card. Maybe a textured paper?

My very first solo article on The Star R.AGE, October 2012.

Check out the full article here.

Remember when I used to write fanfiction on FF.net?

I am not (and have never been) sorry for any of this.

Cussing: All the cool kids do it.

Now I'm hungry.

Art & Design Fundamentals class, November 2011.

No, seriously. I am hungry. At 12AM.

This is why I'm fat, you guys.
The hand-sketched font I came up with for my Typography class, February 2012.

The beauty of photography is in its emotions.

This 'professional photographer' once commented that I should've moved the pram out of the frame, posed the kids better, etc. Um, no. Have you ever done candid photography? What, you think I can just go around putting everything together like in a studio? Seriously.

This is from a photowalk in Bukit Bintang, and is one of my favourite shoots. The kids' parents were right there, encouraging their children to pose for my camera, shot after shot.

This particular photo was entered into the KL International Photo Awards 2012.

Life sucks, and then you get robbed.

I actually had my hard drive stolen sometime back in January (together with my Canon 600D + 18-135mm lens, my iPod, a Sony Ericsson K530i, a white beanie, all my stationery in a case, my combo-edge tanto blade, and a brand new Lansi tee not even out of its package) because someone broke into my car while it was parked at a mamak somewhere in Damansara Perdana.

I lost years' worth of work with that hard drive. Please don't be stupid and ask if I have backup, because that drive was the backup copy, okay? I don't keep old files in my laptops.

Thank goodness I had some stuff on Facebook.

So I'll either be using whatever I have left for my exhibition, or coming up with brand new stuff.

Ugh.

I hope whoever smashed my car has karma stuck back up his ass someday soon.

Klaine: Daddies

This was done in 2011, before I entered college.

Can you believe I did this entire piece with Photoshop and a mouse? Granted, the original drawing wasn't mine (it's by Jackie!), but I'm still pretty proud of my colouring job even after so long. This is going up in my portfolio for sure, just because.
My version of the poster for the DESTINATION: Graduate Showcase 2013.

I'm not even going to lie and say that I put 100% of effort into this piece. It was done over the General Elections weekend, and I was way more worried about the future of my country than one little poster.

Can't blame me for being out of it that weekend; that GE was the dirtiest, ugliest bit of political bullshit I've ever had the misfortune to have to live through in my own country. And don't even get me started on the aftermath - what sort of Prime Minister tries to set an entire country against each other?

Racism: It's insane here.
